For the past 24 years the Texas Bead Retreat has been an informal gathering of friends old and new visiting and sharing knowledge. Beth Dewey, Colette Chapman, and Penny Round welcome you once again to continue this grand tradition Wednesday January 10 - Sunday January 14 at the
Hilton Garden Inn-Temple, Texas

We've made some changes to the Texas Bead Retreat for 2024, that we think will make it more enjoyable than ever.
But first, here are a few things that won’t change. Beth is lining up classes to be held throughout the retreat, with a schedule coming in November. Colette is working up a challenge, with details also coming in November. As always, we’ll have plenty of prizes to give away, as well as a pendant swap.

Now for the new!

We’ve officially added Wednesday to the schedule. The ballroom will be available for those of you who are itching to bead on Wednesday and Thursday (or just want an extra day or two away from home - don’t worry, we’ve all been there). We don’t have any activities planned for Wednesday, but feel free to kick back and enjoy the time beading with friends.

Breakfast this year will be available in the hotel dining room, and is included with your room. Please note the room rate goes up $5 for each additional person sharing your room to cover breakfast. The restaurant offers a wider selection, as well as longer hours for breakfast than we were able to provide in the past, so if you don’t like waking up at the crack of dawn to eat, this one’s for you.

Friday evening is a Mix & Mingle Social featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres, a dessert station, and a cash bar. It's a great opportunity to connect with old friends and make some new ones.

Saturday, enjoy breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We’ll break at noon for a box lunch. Saturday dinner is on your own. In addition to the hotel restaurant, there are numerous dining options in Temple, many within easy walking distance, and there’s always DoorDash or GrubHub.

Sunday, breakfast is in the restaurant and then it’s time to say all our goodbyes till the next year. We’re looking forward to seeing you in January!

I urge those who attended in 2023 who wish to return in 2024 to complete the registration form PDF (Registration Tab) and mail to me by September 30. We are limiting attendance to the same number of 90 as we did last year. We anticipate a waiting list this coming year.
